a night in the hospital for iPad

What a contrast from last night. Last night I had a fabulous time camping (in the driveway). The following day & night I spent in the Emergency Room and then in a hospital room. I am fine, I wasn't there for me. My grandpop was in the hospital. He is battling skin cancer and is suffering from dehydration and malnutrition due to the 7 weeks of radiation burning his mouth and throat so badly that he can barely eat or drink...if at all. He is doing much better now in the hospital. Here he can get everything he needs without it having to pass through his mouth and throat. We are praying and hoping the burns heal so he can eat and drink again normally and get back to everyday life.

So, family is first and I spent the day and night at the hospital. The ER is in the bottom floor of the hospital and there is absolutely no wi-fi or 3G service at all. So we just played games and used Apps that don't require active internet access. But once we got up to our room we had plenty of 3G. Family is first says I was a god send. We were up most of the night doing things for grandpop and just watching over him. But all the while we were able to surf the web, facebook, and catch up on the days news. We were able to read to grandpop about various news items and catch him up on cousin Paul's day drag racing ( GO ETOH Abuse!) It seemed to bring him some comfort and enjoyment catching up on everything and everyone. It was a long night but we were all glad we were together. A very tired iPad is saying good night from the hospital.
